Search Engine Optimization Submission FAQs

Should I submit?

It depends on the type of search engine where you want your site to be listed. Web directories do not know a new site unless one of them speaks. Consequently, the submission to the directory is very important. There are hundreds of smaller search engines that spider the Web regularly. They just go and check if the site exists based on the information presented and URL - this is the only way to find and add new sites to their databases. These boys represent the majority of our self-presentation lists, in order to present these, if you want your site listed.

In contrast, a crawler-based search engine finds your site by following a link from the page that is already in its index. All major search engines or crawlers have their own or use the indices collected by crawlers. Therefore, it is important to have many links to your site from other sites to be indexed. If the sites with links are large and constant, such as Yahoo! and DMOZ directory, this will make a big difference.

How do I know a presentation tool presented my site?

You can view a slideshow of confirmation (or error) of the page. A confirmation page returned by a search engine in response to your site submission info is the best way to tell if the page has been sent successfully.

If a submission to guarantee inclusion in its search index?

No, it does not. They provide no guarantee of inclusion of the sites presented in their search indexes. They warn of this presentation on their pages.

How do I know if I need to resubmit?

If you do not see any traffic from a search engine that has brought the site over a month ago, you would understand if they have indexed your site. To check, you must use a phrase from the main page of your site as search term for the engine. If you see your site's listing in the results returned, you need not resubmit. I also suggest that only resubmit pages that have changed.

When can I see my site listed on search engines?

It depends on the individual motors. Somebody pick the sites presented in a few days or even minutes, others may say they have thousands of sites in a queue, so you can expect to visit their robots in about a year. For crawlers, it is important that your site has many inbound links. In general, you can not expect miracles overnight - it takes time for your site to get listed.

Do I have all the pages of my site?

It is not always necessary. Prefer lists only the main page of your site - they do not like including many different lists of the same site. Crawler-based search engines will follow the links from the main page and include other pages. Submission to search engines of small size is the only incentive for you to submit more than one page. Because no Web site of the spider, but only add pages submitted. For this reason I recommend presenting only the most important pages and optimized.

It 'important to optimize the title and description before posting?

Yes! I recommend this. The title and the description provided in the information page on the website is used to automatically submit to some directories. Directories often classify the results according to how important the keyword is in title and description. In addition, the titles are often used as a text link - this makes the key words in the title important for high rankings.

Will search engines blacklist the site for the repeated presentation?

Most of them will not. If they did, it would be a great trick for competitors to spam a search engine for frequent observations of your site to do it on the blacklist.

It 'safe to use a self-presentation tool?

As a general rule, search engines do not like automated queries made to their indexes. They want human users, not robots. On the other hand, used with caution, automated tools can save a lot of time.

Why am I getting so much spam after using a presentation tool?

Unfortunately, no one can control how some search engines use the information they receive from you. Often speak in their terms of use by submitting your site, you agree to receive their newsletter via e-mail. If an e-mail address is required, I recommend you use a second, non-essential e-mail for the presentation ....
