Your Home Based Business Successful Entrepreneur Series - # 11 - The sales process


The Seller traditional or Saleswoman has probably one of the worst reputations of any of the occupations.

This reputation has been earned over the years, unhealthy image of annoying, intrusive, invasive and irritating personality whose only purpose was to make an immediate sale. Failing that, he or she would lose interest in you, not taking into account that could be a candidate for a future purchase.

We have all met these ignorant people. In television commercials too noisy, and in print media or radio spots with the over hyped. Also occurred in in-person committed with their vulture as the jump on your enter their shop and their false statement "Can I help you". They did not want to serve you or help you, just wanted to sell.

As a result, all we have built our strength and defenses to counter these tactics and prevent these stereotypes. "I'm just looking", and "I'll call you if I need you" are among some of our most gracious answers.

Over the years, salespeople have developed and perfected many techniques and strategies in an attempt to break down our resistance. Many books have been written on many CDs and tapes and seminars have been designed with the goal of reaching the consumer and persuade him to BUY.

Now we are in a more sophisticated consumer lit. He also is experienced, the time is too short for the old tricks to work. To be successful, vendor today has to be a true professional. He must offer real value and use of perspective in a way that is acceptable to the consumer.

This is particularly true in the Internet business world, where a simple click will turn you inside out. The interesting point is that people want to buy, but do not want to be "sold". A much more subtle and person oriented evolved. It is based on developing a relationship with your prospect. Its purpose is to build confidence and demonstrate your knowledge. Prospects buy the products, and sign up to work with sponsors on the part of people who come to know, like and trust.

Therefore, in order to close a sale, it is necessary, in addition to having a wonderful product, pass through a process. You also need to have patience. I can not sow good seeds that bear fruit for days, weeks or even months.

The sales process consists of a few simple steps that must be performed with integrity:

1. Adopt one of many methods to produce cables.
2. So, make an appointment to meet with your prospect, in person or online.
3. Have a plan carefully worked out, or a script to follow in the sales presentation. Try to anticipate, and the answer before them the prospect of raising objections.
4. Go through your pre-closing ritual, and then ask for the sale.

Keep in mind that the prospect of buying only when he or she is convinced that your product or service is right for them and the time is right for them to buy. If you can not close the first time, keep it open for another attempt, another day.

Be informed, be kind, be polite, and be professional. Do not overlook the fact that you may be able to get a referral from the perspective of someone who buys.
