The Arcanum Of The Lovers And The Love Tarot
Perhaps the most representative of the tarot arcana of love is The Lovers. But it would be unfair to say that this letter speaks only of sexuality and love, as it also has other meanings that relate to the duality that is expressed in the image. These two lovers holding hands, clear representation of harmony and spiritual union between two people. It is a deck that speaks of the emotions inevitably, before mentioning the world of the material, economic fortune or increase of property.
The bond is favorable for the two bolts that also have the blessing of a higher being, represented by the angel that flies, that their consent gives go-ahead to approach. The sun speaks of abundance and crown this union staff. Almost be tempted to say that nothing bad can result from this union. However, like all the tarot cards, Lovers has a negative counterpart, represented by the same duality. Love lights the flame of passion, but a flame out of control that can destroy everything in its path. Who falls prey to the passion of love can destroy your whole world known to do that which seems unattainable, and as such take the most famous romance of all time, Romeo and Juliet. Nothing good comes out of the union of these two people, rather than death, sorrow, and destruction.
The governing element is air Lovers, so everything goes with the spirit and mind. Sometimes the deck is a call for reflection on how we act. You can not choose what you feel, but you can choose what to do with what you feel.
The man stares at the woman, ecstatic, but it is outside their visual field image of the angel that flies. This may represent the passion and carnal feelings distract the individual from what should be their only priority: to love God above all things.
In the tarot of love, Lovers marks an emphasis on carnal love, about sexuality. We know that sometimes a marriage based solely on sexual pleasure can make the ruin and destruction to the client. The Lovers represents a moral crossroads, and announces a point in the life of the person you should choose what is ethically correct.
